Clayton Coffelt, son of Andrew and Amber Coffelt and brother of Tristan.

First Clarke County baby of 2008

Clayton was born to parents Andrew and Amber Coffelt of Boyce, and joined big sister Tristan, age 3 ½. He was due on Jan. 10, Amber said, and was 19 ½ inches long and weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces at birth.

Andrew has lived in Clarke County all his life, and Amber has been in the county since she was 15.

Life with baby Clayton has been “good so far,” Amber said, noting that caring for two is challenging.

“We’re trying to get a schedule down,” she said. “Nights are still crazy, and Clayton wants to sleep on me instead of where he’s supposed to sleep.”

“You take it as it comes,” she said.

Amber’s advice for new parents: “Enjoy the time when they’re small, because they grow too fast,” she said.
