Holy Week services

<li>Clarke County Ministerial Association Holy Week Services: The Clarke County Ministerial Association will sponsor two Good Friday services. The first is at Berryville Presbyterian Church, 123 W. Main St., at noon. The second is at Crums United Methodist Church, 2832 Crums Church Rd., Berryville, at 7 p.m. Both services are open to the public. Join us as we lift up the love that led our Savior to give His life for ours.

 

<li>Berryville Presbyterian Church will hold two Easter morning worship services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. The early service will feature the joyful music of our children's, youth and chimes choirs, and the 11 a.m. service will feature the bell and sanctuary choirs. Between the two services there will be a special coffee hour featuring a variety of homemade treats and specialty coffees brewed on sight. We invite the community to join us as we celebrate the power of God to raise us all up to a new life.

 

<li> Holy Week service at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Lewisville. Palm Sunday service is March 16 at 11 a.m. Worship will be led by Pastor George Jones. The Gospel Desenders will be in concert. Lunch will be served.

 

Good Friday service at 7:30 p.m. will be led by Rev. Gary Dolennan. Holy Communion is Easter Sunday with a sunrise service at 6:45 a.m., led by Rev. Michael King. Breakfast will follow. Morning worship will be led by Elder George Jones at 10 a.m.

 

<li>Holy Week at Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church will begin with a worship service on Palm Sunday, March 16, at 9:30 a.m. There will be a communion service on Maundy Thursday at 7 p.m. Easter Sunday will be celebrated with a Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast and a worship service at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend. The church is located at the intersection of Wickliffe Road and Shepherd's Mill Road.

 

<li>River of Life Baptist Church would like to invite everyone to an Easter Sunrise Service at Izaak Walton Park on Rt. 50. The service will begin at 7 a.m. near the lake. A free breakfast will be offered immediately following the service. Dress warm and come enjoy the beauty of God's creation and the triumph of His victory over sin and death. <li>On Sunday, March 30, Berryville Baptist Church, at 114 Academy St., will honor Rev. Dr. William E. Ingram as he completes nearly 23 years of service at the church. This “Day of Celebration” will begin with a worship service at 11 a.m., followed by a covered dish luncheon. Guests from the Baptist Association of Virginia will be attending as Dr. Ingram delivers the sermon. Some of the pastor's favorite musical selections will be presented by the adult choir and the hand bell choir. The Baptist Rascal Puppets also will have a special presentation. The community is invited to attend a 2 p.m. ceremony to reminisce with the congregation.
