Mary Ellen Fletcher Adrain

Died April 19, 2008
 

 

Mary Ellen Fletcher Adrain, 70, of Boyce, died April 19 at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center. She was born April 20, 1937 in Loudoun County, the daughter of Isaac Walter and Ruth Loy Fletcher.

Mrs. Adrain attended school and church in Loudoun County.

She was a co-owner of B&M Carpets in Winchester. She had worked as a cafeteria worker with Loudoun County and Clarke County public schools.

She married Samuel Robert Adrain on Dec. 27, 1955 in Herndon.

Survivors include two daughters, Kelley Adrain and Donna Adrain, both of Sterling; three sisters, Hattie Melton of Strasbourg, Lucile Osborne of Winchester and Janie Delph of Mt. Airy, N.C.; mother-in-law Eugenia Adrain of Berryville, niece Sandra Hottel of Philomont; two cats, Krisi and Baby; and many other family members and friends.

Mrs. Adrain was preceded in death by a son, Robert Michael Adrain, and two sisters, Ruth Landon and Judy Ely.

Graveside services were held April 23 in the Sterling Cemetery, Sterling with John Gindlesberger officiating.
