Obituary

Esther Neff Rose

Died April 17, 2008
 


 

Esther Neff Rose, 90, of Bluemont, died April 17 in Leesburg. She was born March 17, 1918, in Loudoun County, the daughter of John M. Neff and Daisy May Hawes Neff.

Mrs. Rose was a domestic worker and a nursing assistant.

Her husband, Thomas Woodrow Rose, died in 1968.

Survivors include five daughters, Helen Stevens of Cross Junction, Dora Lee Hardy of Winchester, Sherry Garrison of Purcellville, Debbie Fogle of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Pam Gaal of Stephens City; four sons, Thomas Rose of Leesburg, Donald Rose, Penny Rose, and Michael Rose, all of Purcellville; 21 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Joy Rose.

Memorial services will be April 27 at 2 p.m. at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel in Berryville, with Pastor Raymond Martin officiating. Burial will be private.
