Wayne Austin Sours, 74, of Stephens City, died April 15 in Winchester Medical Center. He was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Page County, the son of Clark Elbert Sours and Ruth Dofflemyer Sours.
Mr. Sours was retired from Perry/Judd of Strasburg after working 17 years as an apprentice. He also worked at Carr Publishing in Boyce.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He attended Boyce Baptist Church and was a member of Berryville Moose Lodge.
He married Hazel Catherine Sours on June 29, 1957, in Hagerstown, Md.
Survivors include a son, Forrest Thomas ”Tom” Sours of Winchester; two daughters, Rhonda Wayne Marco of Atlanta and Deborah Dean Foltz of Winchester; three brothers, Nelson C. Sours of Camp Springs, Md., Dale E. Sours of Boyce, and Ronnie L. Sours of Shawneeland; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 18 at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville, with Dr. William E. Ingram officiating.
Burial took place in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville, with the Clarke County Honor Guard providing military honors.
Pallbearers were Forrest “Tom” Sours, James B. Marco Jr., Leonard W. Foltz, Christopher W. Fox, Brent W. Marco, Ronnie L. Sours, Allen Dinges, and Mark Chevalier.
